Danish ceramist Richard Manz (1933–1999) was renowned for his mastery of form and material, dedicating his life to designing both everyday objects and sculptural pieces. His work balances proportion, geometry, and functionality, combining beauty with practicality. Having trained in Sweden and studied traditional ceramics in Arita, Japan, he later worked from his studio in Hørve, Denmark, developing a distinctive and timeless ceramic style.
