Flat Japanese Teapot with Side Handle
Experience a flawless, effortless pour and a brew that grows richer with every steep.
Handcrafted in Tokoname, Japan, this flat kyusu teapot is made from traditional crow clay, giving it that clean, unglazed matte look that feels right at home on any kitchen bench. The side handle is easy to hold without burning your fingers, and the angled spout with a built-in fine ceramic filter means a smooth, no-fuss pour every time. The clay also holds heat better than your average porcelain pot, so your tea stays warm while you actually enjoy it.
The best part? It only gets better with time. Every brew slowly seasons the clay, so the more you use it, the more flavour it holds onto.
Designed by Osamu Saruyama.
-First Use: Rinse thoroughly with warm water. We recommend brewing a pot of tea and discarding it to "prime" the unglazed clay. -Do not use dish soap. The porous clay will absorb detergents and ruin the natural flavour of your tea. -Hand wash only. Always allow the teapot to air dry completely with the lid off. Not suitable for dishwashers or microwaves.
