Handwoven Akebia Vine Trivet

Akebia quinata is a wild vine native to the Tohoku region of Japan, blooming in spring and bearing fruit in autumn. As harvests decline, these vines have become increasingly rare and precious.

After harvesting, the vines are naturally dried for at least a year before being hand-woven by a small number of artisans using traditional techniques. Strong, durable, and resistant to deformation and water, Akebia vine is made to last.

Use it as a trivet for hot cookware or a simple fruit bowl for everyday use.
