This handcrafted wooden washbowl brings the ritual of Japanese onsen bathing into the everyday bathroom.

Made from Hinoki Cypress, a traditional Japanese wood known for its moisture resistance, stability, and calming citrus-like aroma when exposed to warm water.

Traditionally, it is used before bathing: sit on a small stool, fill the bowl with warm water, and pour it over the body as part of a simple cleansing ritual.

Beyond bathing, it also works beautifully as a storage or decorative piece, ideal for bath salts, rolled towels, bath brushes, body wash, or everyday essentials.

INSTRUCTIONS

-Each piece is held with a traditional copper band, which may be gently adjusted by hand if it loosens over time. With use, the wood naturally softens and develops character. -After use, rinse and dry on its side. Avoid direct sunlight.
