Iwachu Nambu Cast Iron Teapot, 650ml
Hand-cast in Iwate, Japan by Iwachu, a Nambu ironware maker since 1902, this teapot features the traditional arare (hail-drop) texture, a signature of the craft for over 400 years.
Cast iron retains heat far longer than ceramic or glass, helping keep your tea warm throughout the whole pot, not just the first cup. The enamelled interior makes care simple, just wash and dry after use, with no seasoning required. A stainless steel tea strainer is included, so it’s ready for loose-leaf tea straight away.
With a 650ml capacity, it’s a generous size for sharing at the table.
It is designed for steeping and serving only and should not be heated directly.
A Nambu cast iron pot trivet featuring a traditional Japanese pattern, designed for iron kettles and teapots from 0.5L to 1.5L. Rubber feet on the underside help keep it stable while protecting your table from scratches.
-Wash well after use and store after drying well. -Cannot be heated with a direct fire. -Cast iron products are very heavy, so please be careful when using them. Also note that dropping or rapid cooling may cause cracks or fissures. -Do not touch the body or handle with bare hands during use, as they can become extremely hot and cause burns.
