Japanese Ceramic Salt Jar – White (Small)
Crafted in Shigaraki, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns with over 1,260 years of history, this salt jar is made from Shigaraki’s coarse clay, which naturally absorbs excess moisture and “breathes” to regulate humidity. The interior is left unglazed for maximum effectiveness, while the exterior features a shaved texture with a light glaze, giving it a simple yet refined finish.
Perfect for use in both the kitchen and bathroom.
Available in Small and Large, and matches well with our Japanese Wood Salt Spoon (sold separately).
-Each Shigaraki Salt Pot is handcrafted by skilled artisans, making every piece unique with slight differences in size and color. To preserve its quality, avoid using in dishwashers, microwaves, or ovens. Clean gently with a dry cloth when needed. - Depending on the humidity and the type of salt, the exterior of the pot may become damp or show mineral crystals. This is normal and indicates that the pot is effectively regulating the internal humidity. Simply wipe with a dry cloth or place a mat underneath. -Please do not use it to store liquid or food with high moisture.
