Add 0.28 oz (8 g) of tea leaves into a Japanese teapot.
Step Two
Japanese Green Tea
This tea reveals its umami best when brewed gently. Use water at 70–80°C (158–176°F), and let it steep for about 1 minute. The lower temperature allows sweetness to emerge while avoiding bitterness.
Japanese Roasted Rice Green Tea
Roasted rice aromas bloom best at higher temperatures. Brew with 90°C (194°F) water and steep for about 40 seconds. The slightly higher temperature helps release the roasted rice aroma without over-extracting.
Japanese Roasted Green Tea
Light and fragrant, this tea loves heat. Use boiling water—100°C (212°F)—and steep for just 30 seconds. The short brew time ensures a smooth taste and aromatic clarity.
Step Three
Pour gently into your teacup.
