Takazawa Candle is one of Japan’s oldest candle makers, crafting traditional Japanese candles from plant-based materials like sumac fruits, rice bran, and rapeseed oil using techniques unchanged since the 16th century.

Their candles are known for larger, brighter flames. The wick, made from dried rushes wrapped around a hollow washi paper core, draws in oxygen to burn more wax, creating a strong and luminous flame.
