The wood is sun‑dried and exposed to wind and rain for three years, then cut, treated, and shaped using a traditional pounding technique (kigoroshi). The result is lightweight, strong, and nearly warp‑free boxes with natural humidity control and resistance to insects and mold. Each piece reflects over ninety years of craftsmanship, serving as both a functional container and a symbol of Japan’s culture and aesthetic.
