Veark CK20 Forged Chef's Knife

$380.00
DETAILS

The CK20 is a classic piece from Veark’s fully forged knife collection. It is drop-forged from a single piece of steel by skilled craftsmen in Solingen, Germany, offering exceptional strength, balance, and durability.

Inspired by how professional chefs hold their knives, the open handle design draws from a wrench-like structure. It allows the thumb to rest naturally on the blade and encourages gripping the knife at its balance point, enhancing stability and control for everyday cooking.

The blade is fully symmetrical, making it comfortable for both left- and right-handed use. Each knife is hand-sharpened to a total edge angle just below 30°, ensuring long-lasting sharpness and precise cutting performance. For sharpening tools that can be adjusted, set the angle to 28° for the best result (14° per side).

INSTRUCTIONS

Although our forged knives are rugged and durable, it is important to take care of them. Treat a knife with respect and it will last you a lifetime. -Use a cutting board: Always cut on wood or plastic boards to protect the blade. Avoid glass, stone, ceramic, or steel surfaces. -Cut straight, don’t scrape: Avoid sideways scraping. To move food, flip the knife and use the spine. -Keep it clean: Rinse after use, wash with mild soap and non-abrasive tools. -Dry thoroughly: Wipe your knife completely after washing. -Store safely: Keep knives in a dedicated space, away from other objects. -Handle with care: Avoid dropping on hard surfaces. -Dishwasher: Not recommended; high temperatures and moisture can damage the knife and handle. -Sharpening: Use whetstones or professional services if needed. Avoid automatic sharpening machines.
