Hinoki Cutting Board - Small
Crafted from a single piece of Shimanto hinoki cypress grown for 70–80 years in the forests of Kochi, Japan, this chopping board showcases the fine grain, natural warmth, and gentle fragrance that hinoki is known for.
Hinoki is naturally kind to knife edges, helping reduce wear on your blades. The wood’s natural oils help repel moisture, while the treated edges offer added resistance to staining for everyday use.
At 20 mm thick, the board feels solid and stable without being overly heavy. It comes with a rotating cherry wood stand, allowing it to be stored upright for better airflow and drying.
-Hand wash both sides after each use, wipe dry, and air dry upright -Avoid dishwashers, direct sunlight, and heater/AC airflow -Occasionally dampen both sides to prevent cracking -Rub olive oil or linseed oil along the edges regularly -If warping occurs, place a damp cloth on the concave side overnight, then dry in the shade — repeat if needed
